Empty Bubbles – Written Friday 17th February 1995 (Aged 19)

Empty Bubbles

this is getting it done
i am not too old
but not too young
i want to be a special friend
i see some special things
empty bubbles, empty dreams
listen to what we say
it seems to make sense
but it is only halfway
i wonder, with magic in my head
i have known secrets
except those of the dead
but they are not much good to me
rainy days and sunshine blues
no more dreams, empty bubbles
old fashioned clues
empty bubbles float away
gone tomorrow
but here today
do not let us become like that
i want to stay
