Reinvent the Wheel

they all want to reinvent the wheel
presenting secondhand as new
and telling people how they feel
equality becomes about power
and is not a fair game
the between the two
looks for someone to blame
and i am tired
of false prophets and new found goals
i do not need religions
or theories that defy any odds
i am tired,
of the latest trend
i have found myself in a place
where tranquility becomes a friend
everyone wants to confirm their story
be strange fruit
everyone wants to be equal
but somehow special or different
and we never really know where it ends
public hangings replaced
will the attack be on what people say
problems not faced
that is some other groups fault
they tied your legs together and asked,
you to vault
but never succeeded
and so the love and the hope
of the human condition
continues to bleed
