I Finish the Chapter – Written Tuesday 28th July 2009 (Aged 34)

I Finish the Chapter

i finish the chapter
in my book
it falls away
to memories,
for the occasional look
i move on
knowing one million things
will always depart
i start a new chapter
and try to follow the story arc
but I am only the author
of this book in part
there is an element of the unknown
something to do with fate
for which
none of us are too late
i finish the chapter
in my book
it ends with no cliffhanger
just an audible sigh
on this occasion life is too short
to question and wonder why
