Brittle Fury
yes, you have voted to, ‘leave’
but
what did you believe?
that governments in power
would return to you
holding flowers
did you think summer shows
would turn back to summer sun
did you vote for the, ‘good old days’
of youth, when your youth was young
i see the anger
spilling out of the sides
those abstract concepts
took you all for a ride
now
you demand for us to, ‘leave’
with brittle fury
no matter what the cost to the community
the economy or insanity
yes, you voted to, ‘leave’
but then you chose
to tune into lies, sign up, and without question,
believe
