Sitting Opposite You

sitting opposite you,
who thought we would be here
after all this time
a little tense,
but it is fine
sitting opposite you,
i always knew it
you are wonderful
and you made my heart blush
it is such a long time
since we shared that crush
i cannot make up for the past
i cannot undo the knots –
so well tied
i would, if i could
sitting opposite you,
it has been many years
i would like think i have changed
you still make it less clear
