i have been serving you for years
well here is my resignation
written in stone and not in tears
i have been at your beck and call
i have been serving you for years

handed standing up and not on knee
well time has moved us on
me from you and you from me
i have been serving you for years
well now it is time for another
to feel the blame
to be watched as they suffer
i have been serving you for years

i hope you realise that i mean it
