I Let My Mind Wander Away

saw dad last night
and it was okay
hollowness and emptiness
bump along
we covered old ground
but that is okay
the shock still has sounds
thursday and now friday
have been much easier
as i said today,
it is like bi-polar enforced
and it will not go away
emotions taken
by the scruff of the neck
thrown around
and then left
in a shed as crumpled mess
ups and downs
and tours of the town
if you could see us
what would you think
i stood in the flat
and watched the bare walls
as my mind wandered away
and they no longer felt warm
