Living It Now – Written Thursday 13th March 1997 (Aged 22)

Living It Now

we do not need barbiturates
when we jump –
we do not need parachutes
we do not need a drink everyday
and we do not need a security latch
and a guide all the way
we do not need a space
we have our own
we are only human though
we still need someone there
we do not need a place to play
we have our imaginations
and more time than the day
we are not involved in litigation
we are impulsive
even if we cannot always judge the situation
we do not need the pain
we cannot always lay
but we take the pain anyway
we always get by somehow
we are always live
if life is to be lived
we try and live it now
