I Do Not Want to Think About Yesterday
i do not want to think about yesterday
i held it so close
and now it has moved away
i cannot reach its body
i do not want to think about yesterday
there is was and not it has gone away
i miss it sometimes
sometimes more than most
i held it close
and now it has moved away
i do not want to think about yesterday
it is just a memory in my brain
it lives so far away
somewhere down that memory lane
i do not want to think about yesterday
there is no more strain
only what is out there to gain
i held it so close
i do not want to think about yesterday
