Friend – Written Tuesday 17th October 2000 (Aged 25)

Friend

speaking to friends again
friends from all those years ago
i used to wonder where they went
they helped me grow
taller than when i was smaller
speaking to you again
you inspired a thousand dreams in me
you made me feel like king
you made me feel better inside
and although feelings are crazy
it is rare for them to lie
will we carry on
from where we left off
or has the fuel already run out
i never found you to touch
but i committed to you totally
no option, i just had to
it was the only thing i could do
when someone like me finds someone like you
speaking to you again
being friends and starting again
