Arms. Legs and Heart (Routine)
tie me to routine
time me to nine to five
no one hears my scream
and i count the figures on my wage
it is not difficult to despondent
or hear the tax man’s giggle
i guess there is a government scheme –
for our future
where they put a tax on our dreams
money should not matter
but you know it does
and you know it is never enough
how did it end up like this
me in the pockets of big companies
ties me to routine
arms, legs and heart
my heart has become a constant scream
and it is plane to see,
we all need to dream
justifying it as a means to an end
well unshackle my barge
and let’s us set sail lie true friends
