Ashes of Memories
ashes of memories
in pots or urns
flowers in vases
for when memories have burnt
solitude is my guest
my belief, the only test
ashes of pure petals
on fields of pure green
this is the only battle
and we all take part
are you taking sides
and if you are,
whose side are you on?
ashes of memories
in pots or urns
veils to cover the truth
for when memories have burnt
and generations,
for when lessons need to be learnt
