The Gamble
the biggest gamble of all
the leap of faith,
a leap into the dark
a hollow laugh
i will lay my heart on the line
i will let you swim in my mind
i never look good in plain sleeves
my sleeves have always had hearts on
the biggest gamble of all
and i will take it every time
i will open up every time
and there are words i feel
but it seems too early to say them
so i store them inside,
i will not say them
the biggest gamble of all
i stumble into your arms
i folded myself neatly in your hold
i will take the gamble
and worry about later, much later
