Kursaal Estate (Originally Untitled) – Written Thursday 2nd May 2013 (Aged 38)

Kursaal Estate

sometimes overwhelmed –
and leaving –
would not be leaving behind –
those that have you
i drove through the estate –
that had once held me
in younger more difficult days
but now –
only the ghost of memories play
corridors are silent
roofs are no longer climbed
despite the occupants
flats to me feel empty inside
and then there is a sense –
of being overwhelmed
as if love, motherly love –
is with me
and not lost,
telling me that is going to be okay
that come what may
i will find our way
one more time though,
one more time back to the kursaal estate
