Help Me With My Boots
going out with a crowd
someone sticks out
but, they do not notice you at all
you are –
just a teenager kicking fears
isn’t life cruel?
new trainers or boots
and we still cannot climb the wall
help me find my roots
help me get across a river
i need some help, i really do
because i thought the river –
was just a stream
but it was like my thoughts of you
it only ever existed in a dream
going out with a friend
they are a girl with a hand
but it need not ever end
because i need you to understand
i need you to need
and help me find my roots
help me believe, help me with my boots
