Monochrome
i wish you had been there
when i was down
when my life became many colours
no just,
shades of black and white
when i felt really alone
staring at my life
and all i can see is monochrome
but you can blame your past
as much as you like
but when it comes to the end of the day
you have got to get on with your life
it is easy to pinpoint events
that did not seem to go your way
you can think back to them all you like
as you sit all alone,
in the buildings of your day
wondering why all you see is monochrome
