Destination – Written Saturday 6th September 2014 (Aged 39)

Destination

i try too hard
and then when i do not need to
i somehow,
hang myself on the day
as i consider liars and cheats
that populate our space
and considering
they do not seem to care less
i wonder why
i have met up with the, ‘committed’
whose commitment
could be confined to a thimble
and commitment
could be turned into, ‘commit’
different terms of reference
with their selfishness
they are in a permanent conference
i try not to be a victim
not of other but of myself
arrogant guys and girls
they want a shortcut
a way to cut out the path
but they never realise that it is the paths
that lead to adventure
and sometimes to the most special destination
