Reflective Chore – Written Monday 12th September 2014 (Aged 39)

Reflective Chore

it is time to say –
i can walk away
your sallow gate
the reflective chore
it is time to make distance
out of more –
than paper and glue
your uncomfortable bawdiness
gives me too much to chew
who are these people
who find our lives
and feel that they know us
so deep inside
i guess they did not see
the irony of deceit
of cold corridors or hapless feet
