The Lost Dream
i am the lost dream
dropped by the child
whose mother’s fate
waited at the school gate
clutching her hurt in one hand
and my bike in the other
i knew then,
it would always be mother
the almost gult
that almost smother
it is how i was built
destined to be built like no other
i am the child
dropped by the claw of normality
rushed through the waters
that lap at the feet of insanity
