I Hear the Telephone Ring
i hear the telephone ring
and i close my eyes
this used to be my home
now i feel trapped inside
i hear the laughter
its sound is reflected in your eyes
i know it is him again
and it tears me up inside
the hollow things said
pretending that it is easy
well, it is easier with an occupied bed
but then some love
can always be easily led
another message on your phone
and i am left wrecked
i try to hide the pain
but it is in the space that you have left
