Rainy Day Saving – Written Monday 31st October 1994 (Aged 19)

Rainy Day Saving

i know i hurt you
but sometimes you –
to take second best
still we kissed
and as i write this
your love is being missed
never to fade away
we have both so much to save
for a rainy day
do not ever go away
i need you too much
no matter how much love you give
i will always want more,
it will will never be enough
without you i could not live
not in the same way
saving what i call our love
for a rainy day
i have not gone, i am still here
if you want me near
do not cry my love
let me wipe your tear
things will heal for us –
given time
i am crying a tear now
wipe away mine
we always knew the time we had
was precious time
what more can i say
saving our love
saving our love for a rainy day
when the tears stop flowing
and the rain –
falls down instead
keep on loving you
till everything is dead
