Acres of Writing – Written April 2021 (Aged 46)

Acres of Writing

i have acres of writing
for you to farm
i have planted poems
as,
an arable crop
i have bridleways
of words and sentences
and if you wish
i have –
shallow lakes of the written verse
for you to wade through
should you be so inclined

i have acres of writing
for you to herd
i have groups of feelings
and uncharted verse
i have places of meaning
out on the pastures
that you have not found
and,
i have planted poems
in the most fertile ground
and, come the the autumn months
we will see what is found
