A Boat In My Ocean – Written Monday 5th June 2000 (Aged 25)

A Boat In My Ocean

you are a boat in my ocean
you float,
but mainly in my commotion
you are a star in the sky
you are the feeling
that is destined to fly
you are a word i cannot use
you are a desirable option
but not one i would choose
you are a buyer of better times
you are a chapter in this book
you are the future lines
and a future hook

you are a boat in my ocean
a rook up in my nest
a chance waiting to happen
the strangest test
you are a bridge not yet built
a key to an invisible door
you are a stealer of time
and time with you is what i adore
you are wish from my wishing well
a place i have never been
you are every nightmare lost
and every unwanted scream
you are every dream i have found
you are a boat in my ocean
you float,
but mainly in my commotion
