Just Like Me – Written Saturday 17th April 1999 (Aged 24)

Just Like Me

you wanted to talk to me
but…
you did not want to walk with me
certainly not in my world anyway
it is a pretty petty small minded world
for a race –
that is meant to be so sophisticated

you wanted to talk to me
but…
i was made to feel like a freak
what did you want me to say
i am about as much like you
as you are compared to me
but what can we do
vision is so personal you see

it is narrow minded world
which is so strange
for a place that is meant to be so evolved
it just leaves me cold
and such bitter cynicism
can leave anyone feeling old
i have concluded –
that everyone is a lunatic
they work so hard on their bodies
but it is their mind that needs to be fit
