Jealous – Written May 1999 (Aged 24)

Jealous

i still get jealous
i admit,
i still get so jealous
i still get envious
and,
i still want to hang on
i still want a blanket
and i still want to be told
i still get jealous
more so, as i grow old
feeling sorry for yourself
well,
somebody has to do it
especially,
when there is nobody else
who is going to clear those clouds
who is going to tend the garden –
when the flowers do not grow
feeling sorry for yourself
well, there is no one around
and you are feeling down
somebody has to do it
when you are feeling all alone

James Garratt – May 1999
