Currency of Affection (Sit Here)
sit here
and i am wishing for work to go away
for our trip to start
and for us to fly away
sit here
thinking about you
like a love-struck teenager
or a dumb struck ranger
just counting days
after all, you treat me like a human being
and there is a currency of affection between us
there is real value to my feelings
sit here
no longer put down
or made to feel stupid
or fighting mental health issues
that eventually tore us apart
counting days
and the ways you have changed my life
not wishing to compare
but I just need you
here there and everywhere
