They Always Say No
They always say no.
Give them your number,
and no one rings you up.
You fall,
like a kid
with a bad crush.
They always say no.
They wear different clothes;
I am a fool
for how they work.
No man actually knows.
They ask you
to be around—
you have got to be flattered,
so you always
go with the flow.
Then you get hurt.
They always say no.
All I want
is to fall for someone
who has fallen for me.
They always say no.
Am I destined
for insanity?
Only they know.
I am just thinking
about what I can do.
We could be the problem—
I guess it is
a bit of a joke.
But they always say no,
and my,
don’t we sulk.
