Capital Letters – Written Monday 19th July 2021 (Aged 46)

Capital Letters

you put capital letters
on sentences
that are uttered
you tidy up the hurt
which causes us to be cluttered
you were there
when it mattered
when windows looked opaque
and when they were shattered

you put capital letters
on my sentences
as they crash down rocky cliffs
you add the always
to the word, missed
you underline so beautifully
and compile a meaningful list
you capture all my countries
whenever we play risk
