Golden and Brown
hang your head down
like a star
trying to catch a frown
i was caught
in my own web
it is made
of words I have said
how do I feel today
the milk maids
made their way
and the harvest
was golden and brown
i saw my tomorrow
it was cold in the wind
and tainted by sorrow
what could I say
hanging your head down
find strength
in dynamic pragmatism
do you remember
when I made you laugh all night
and you said
thank you for just being me
but have memories
ever set any of us free?
