Apart
a night alone
the only connection
a twentieth century phone
a night in a room
that defies time
is it really only june?
missing you
and the routine of the day
even though
you are only a sunset away
a glimpse slightly to my left
a night alone
i miss you nonetheless
passing time
watching ethiopia’s gold
on the television in this room
solomon’s story may never be told
but alone in this room
my treasures waits to be held
