Maybe It Is True
i heard that someone –
ended up on their back
wondering,
when will that person come back
i heard,
that they,
struck up a band
and it made them lovely
just for a few grand
i hard that someone –
got confused
that by mistake,
they threw out love
with the things already used
maybe it is true
all the things that they do
maybe it makes sense
singing a song in the rain
chained to a two way fence
maybe it is true
that the wheels became buckled and bent
and the feasts from heaven
are not really heaven sent
i heard that someone –
raised their dress
but not their expectation
so when they found themselves in a mess
they had little or no preservation
