Estuary Waters – Written Friday 14th January 2011 (Aged 35)

Estuary Waters

do i sell myself short?
do i?
do i complain too quick
yearn for space
but demand a crowd
we are complicated as people
we scream aloud
we scream inside
do i find people
and marry their attention
to my sense of worth
and my need for distraction
do i?
do you care for people
living your life
in another part of this town
with wind lashed estuary waters
in which thoughts often drown
we are complicated as people
we put faith in the invisible
and build stone steeples
we search for one
and forget the love of many people

James Garratt – Friday 14th January 2011
