One Weekend (Five Bottles of Wine)
one weekend,
five bottles of wine
but i stayed at mine
i got up, looking a mess
hardly my sunday best
made my way over to yours
got a bit to eat
and hung onto your doors
came back here
on the phone to the woman
who makes me laugh
then a few texts
to that one from my past
i try to grab some sleep
just before i find the phone
and i talk to my best friend
telling tales of my life
where does all this end?
sit down, look around
feeling tired,
and then, getting ready for work
juggling this all in my life
it is both a blessing and a curse
