You Used to Believe In Magic

you used to believe in magic
but the magic disappeared
i used to believe in the power of tears
but the tears solidified into fears
you used to believe in magic
but the magic disappeared
i used to believe in the power of speech
but now i question every word i hear
i used to believe in sunny optimism
but then i realised the way was not so clear
you used to believe in magic
but the magic disappeared
i used to enjoy friends and alcohol
but not everyone was keen to say cheers
you used to believe in magic
but then the magic disappeared
