One Extreme To Another
one extreme to another
relationships a disaster
always such a distant lover
a track record of despair
and i was the child –
in the playground –
who just wanted someone there
i cannot get close
never close enough
to keep up my hope
because the barriers go up
and it is,
one extreme to another
and i do really try
but i am such a distant lover
i cannot seem to compromise
one extreme to another
i don’t tell all those lies
what see is what you get
perhaps there lies in the problem
perhaps i am too easy to forget
i am destined to live like this
one extreme to another
i am all feeling,
but something remains undercover
no compromise,
is there that i can manage
i am such a distant lover
it is one extreme to another
