Back in the Box
something feels…
strange…
i put my parents back in their box
an accumulation of paperwork
and i read the things –
i had written –
about my mum –
when she was first diagnosed
and just before she had to finally go
and i cried –
cried for the wretched loss
i held things,
which had once belonged to her
and i thought –
if only we could have shared
something of the future
