It’s Over
it’s over
and though the pain –
will turn to embers –
over a period of time
and for a while
peace may be hard to find
it will, over time –
get easier on loved ones
and the very best friends
it’s over
crooked dreams fall away
and decay in the mind
the tides come in
and soon you find much
and though the pain –
may be too much
and for a while –
it may be hard to find a smile
it’s over
