Sown Only in Confusion – Written Saturday 23rd July 2011 (Aged 36)

Sown Only in Confusion

the lady wore clothes sown only in confusion
society,
she’d just found out
had sold her its greatest illusion
and a truth which she now bore
it is the one that remains largely unspoken
the one,
where routine has set in
the one where church bells have finally broken
was that so called special day
no more than a token?
has doubt and identity formed an army
has something finally being awoken?
i could only tell her of my own personal tales
and how society strips out the guts
and presses on words like, ‘fail’
i watched her veer from side to side
trying to resolve the greatest connection
the one that resides inside
i know her tears may continue to fall
and continue to roll down the hill
i could have reached out,
after all i know all too well that feeling
the one that she now feels
