Do You Have Mirrors?

do you have mirrors?
i only ask,
in case you have hidden them
perhaps,
you do not want to catch your reflection
i wonder if you have spent your life
hoping that you never catch sight of the inside
do you fear facing that kind of truth?

do you have mirrors?
i only ask,
because i wondered if they were covered with tape
and what is it exactly that you are running from?
what is it that you so hate?
i wonder what will happen
when one day you wake up
and you catch sight of who you really are
realising, that all along you lived as a fake
