People Are Broken
people are broken
one by one
like the green bottles
that hung upon the wall
people are broken
or perhaps the world is just too cruel
hope can diminish
and become very small
and is that why their demons walk so tall
people are broken
one by one
i thought everyone knew when i was young
i had a strange belief that they had answers
and endings to stories not yet told
but they were found out
and disappointment has never got old
