Meaningful – Written December 2005 (Aged 30)

Meaningful

the truth is that your life,
the one you champion
is devoid of meaningful relationships
just the one or two
emotionally stunted,
there is no past littered with friendships
full of laughter and memories
your experience of people is limited
your understanding of people is narrower still
this must explain your narrow world view
the one you seem to live and feel
the truth is the thought of forming a friendship
frightens you to death,
it is far too easy to say we are the same
and when it became apparent that it wasn’t working
rather than admit you might be at fault
it was easier to say that i was wrong
and that there was something wrong with me
the truth about all this and your life,
is that your views, are absolute fantasy
