i don’t mean to put you in this position
this sorry situation
this, what feels like an inquisition
i am sorry that it went this way
we happily pushed the cart
but now the cart has gone astray
i don’t mean to do this to you
they will have no halfway house
i know that much is true
i know you mean well,
and you want the best
but time will not tell,
and it will not release these feelings
