The Fall of Nelson
the fall of nelson
churchill on a cross
the inequality
the value of moss
who will pick the coin
who will win the toss
i look around,
as brutalist architecture
sneers at all that is loss
these are precious days
where you can get a text vote
a phone note,
and history is sin
but then it was all colonial lies
so is it any wonder,
it has ended up in the bin
we watch thirty second videos
and place the sharpest pin
the fall of nelson
churchill on a cross
underground resistance fighters
have truth bombs to lob
i am not feeling the cold
but all i did was blink
and give the girls a knowing wink
the fall of nelson
churchill on cross
hold onto the truths,
before all of it is finally lost
