The Jesus Lake – Written Monday 28th November 2022 (Aged 44)

The Jesus Lake

they washed their beliefs
in the jesus lake
as they were,
tied to books of fate
ideal for those,
who like ideals half baked
there are books of sorrow,
books of the past
books of tomorrow
and books that never last
morality is shaped,
just washing your face
sat there,
by the jesus lake
what can we do in these days?
where our drapery hangs
but is stained,
with the blood of lost morality
and ill gotten gains
just wait,
for those who feel your hope
and watch others swim in the jesus lake
