Shine Once More
we are just the crumpled clothes
the ones that lie upon the floor
we are trying to define chapters
from behind a closed door
we are just the oily rags
left over from a childhood
that you could never quite clean
not even the scrapyard merchant
could take my dreams
we are just the great idea
that never quite made it
the one that looked so delicious
yet no one could ever take it
we are just trying to iron out the creases
and stand up straight
we are just duelling with swords
on the balcony of fate
we are just the crumpled clothes
the ones left lying upon the floor
once you take that on board
you can shine once more
