Learning To Love
learning to love
it does not always come easy
i cannot be a mirror image
of friends or family
i can only study my own reflection
and notice the insanity
i try to love,
to let down all those barriers
that those before,
made me put up
it is a rusty cog that struggles to turn
an intelligent child
that finds it hard to learn
learning to love
to overcome the bruises
the ones that you feel inside
to express that greatest feeling
tell the world that you are alive
