Determination Holds a Lantern

i am tired,
and i know, i have been tired before
but this time,
determination has its arm around me
and this time, it is guiding
it is fighting,
things that appear to be good
but will do harm to me
determination is holding a lantern
and telling me that hope will set me free
currently i am sold out
and floating down some unknown river
those who held me,
and said that it was okay
they left me so brittle,
just as the self esteem got washed away
and their care, it actually looked quite little
but determination is here,
and it is holding a lantern
lighting the way ahead
dispelling phantoms,
and disproving loving words once said
