Dream Like Appeal
sometimes just starting over
it has a dream like appeal
it is hard not to feel,
not to feel like moving
sometimes putting the past behind you
rather than,
kicking it clumsily ahead of you
as you try to move forwards
it feels like a sensible thing
i cannot help this,
i’ve got to stop tripping over my feet
maybe i should try tying my laces
it’s not the attitude
it’s these funny faces
sometimes i just want new places
somewhere in their life,
where it could be constructed
so as a structure,
it joints are not so rusted
