Applause
the applause
fuel for an empty soul
draft excluder for an open door
sparkling wit
for conversation so bored
the applause
shielding eyes
and staggering to the spotlight
tiny childlike eyes
in light so bright
the applause
fuel for an empty soul
friend for someone alone
conversation for the isolated phone
a true frustration
so easily cloned
the applause
