Perceptions Blind You

i don’t really think you listen
perceptions blind you
is it any wonder i struggle to share
you don’t really listen
i don’t think you really care
no matter what you might say
who i am…
who i am….
just does not exist in your mind
tied to the past,
the one that acts like a bind
i could talk all day
but it would be a waste of time
i don’t really think you listen
i don’t think you want to spend the time
